Your Company Formations offers dedicated online packages for each of these specialist structures, with the appropriate formation route and supporting documents built around the company type. Founders can therefore start with a package specifically designed for the organisation they want to register.
1st Formations has a much narrower specialist package range, with dedicated options limited to Limited by Guarantee, LLP and non-resident formations. More specialised structures, including charity and Right to Manage companies, require a separate route through its customer service team.
Protect Your Home Address With Flexible London Address Services
Both Your Company Formations and 1st Formations offer London address services that can keep a founder’s home address off the public company and officer records.
With Your Company Formations, you can use a Central London EC1 registered office address for the company and a director’s service address for the officer record. A separate London virtual office is also available if you want a professional address for everyday business correspondence. Statutory mail received through the registered office and director address services is scanned and delivered digitally.
Your Company Formations also offers the three address services for a combined £155 per year before VAT, compared with £161 per year before VAT for the equivalent registered office, service address and business address services at 1st Formations.

Identity verification is now part of forming and running a UK company. Both Your Company Formations and 1st Formations are Authorised Corporate Service Providers that can complete identity checks during a new company formation.
With Your Company Formations, our experts handle the verification process for up to four officers at no extra cost with every formation package. We complete the checks alongside your formation, helping you deal with the identity-verification requirement as part of one guided process rather than treating it as a separate task.
We also provide a standalone Companies House identity verification service for £24.99 + VAT per person for directors and PSCs of existing companies. This gives existing-company officers the option to have an authorised provider handle the verification rather than completing the process themselves through Companies House One Login. 1st Formations includes identity verification with new formations, but directs directors and PSCs of existing companies to complete verification directly through Companies House.

1st Formations limits its standard formation packages to Ordinary Shares and does not assist with registering companies with multiple or different share classes. Customers who need a multiple-share-class company are directed to seek help from an accountant or solicitor instead.
Digital or Printed Company Documents? You Choose.
Some founders are happy keeping everything digital. Others prefer physical company records they can store, present or keep alongside their other important business documents.
Your Company Formations gives you both options. Our Digital & Print Package includes digital formation documents together with a printed Certificate of Incorporation and printed Share Certificates, with printed documents also available through selected higher packages.
1st Formations provides its formation documents digitally by email, including the Certificate of Incorporation, Memorandum & Articles and Share Certificates. Its current company formation packages no longer include printed formation documents.
So, if you want more than PDFs, we give you the option to receive physical company documents as part of your formation package.

Both providers can help correct a rejected application. With Your Company Formations’ pre-submission review service, our team can correct the issue and resubmit without an additional fee. 1st Formations also states that rejected applications can be corrected and resubmitted without an extra charge.
Yes. Your registered office can be changed after incorporation, provided the new address meets Companies House requirements and remains in the correct UK jurisdiction. This means you are not permanently tied to the address provider used during formation.
